Keeping Cool in the Summer Sun
Phew! What a week it has been. With the mercury rising and the UK encountering its hottest July day on record, we've really felt the heat. If you are anything like me, you enjoy a bit of summer sun, but really hot temperatures just take me out of my comfort zone entirely. This week I decided to put my aromatherapy skills to good use and make a refreshing room mist to keep all the family cool whilst the sun blazed down. As most of you will know I am a huge fan of lavender, so we mixed a lavender flower water with some zingy spearmint essential oil and shook it up, adding just a smidge more lavender essential oil for good measure. We left the mist in the fridge to get super cold and then spritzed it around - as well as on our feet and arms to take full advantage of this cooling potion. Definitely a top tip for when the mercury rises again.
